The Lodge at Big Bear Lake Hotel Review
Disclosure: This hotel was provided for me free of charge; all opinions are my own.
Big Bear Lodge is a Holiday Inn property in Big Bear that has become the premier hotel in the mountain town. The property is designed to look like one of those lodges that you would see in a national park, complete with wood hewn bed frames and antler chandeliers in the lobby. I got a chance to stay there recently, and it was a great home base for exploring the area. Read all the information below.

Getting There
The lodge is located right off Highway 18 on Big Bear Lake Dr. There is a large parking lot to accommodate the hotel’s guests. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from downtown Big Bear, making it a perfect spot for exploring the city on foot.
The Lodge
As soon as you pull up, you will see the lodge is designed to look like a big rustic cabin. It is a lot of fun and does make you feel like you are staying in a mountain town. The lobby has antler chandeliers as well as a half dozen couches to relax at.
They have a restaurant on the property which I went to for breakfast, and the meal was above average for a hotel restaurant. You can also go to Grizzly Manor in downtown Big Bear as well though, which is a personal favorite of mine.
The Rooms
My room at the lodge was large and inviting. It had a king-sized bed and a separate chair and footstool for relaxing. There was a flat screen TV and a Keurig for coffee.
The room also had a sliding door and a patio with two chairs on it and a walkway to the pool.
The bathroom was a traditional bathroom that you would expect at a hotel.
I stayed here for only one night, but I enjoyed it as it was quiet and close to the town. I walked to the downtown area on multiple occasions just to look at a shop or grab an ice cream. If you are looking for an excellent place to stay in the area, then be sure to check it out. Let me know if you have visited and what you thought in the comments.
