Where is Simi Valley

Located about 40 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, Simi Valley is an easy drive along the 118 freeway. It’s far enough from the hustle and bustle to offer a relaxing escape while still being close enough for a quick weekend getaway. Surrounded by rolling hills and scenic landscapes, Simi Valley provides a picturesque backdrop for a weekend of exploration.

History & Museums
Ronald Reagan Presidential Library

One of Simi Valley’s most famous attractions, the Ronald Reagan Library offers an in-depth look at the life and legacy of the 40th president of the United States. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring Air Force One, a replica of the Oval Office, and personal artifacts from Reagan’s life. You can read more about the library here.
Grandma Prisbrey’s Bottle Village

A quirky and fascinating folk art attraction, Grandma Prisbrey’s Bottle Village is a masterpiece made entirely from recycled glass bottles and other salvaged materials. This colorful and creative site is a testament to one woman’s artistic vision and dedication to sustainability. It is only available via private tours at the moment though and you can learn more on their website.
Santa Susana Depot

The Santa Susana Depot is a beautifully restored train station that offers a glimpse into Simi Valley’s rail history and is over 100 years old. Visitors can explore historical artifacts, vintage train equipment, and interactive exhibits that bring the past to life. It is only open on the weekends from 1 PM – 4 PM.
Corrigan Park

Corrigan Park is a unique outdoor space named after the classic film actor Ray “Crash” Corrigan, who once owned a movie ranch nearby. This park is known for its scenic hiking trails and beautiful views of the valley. Plus, you can see some remaining elements of the movie ranch here if you are interested.

Skateboarding Hall of Fame

Simi Valley is home to the Skateboarding Hall of Fame, a must-visit for anyone interested in the history and culture of skateboarding. The museum showcases iconic skateboards, memorabilia, and exhibits celebrating legendary skateboarders who have shaped the sport. They have thousands of skateboards on display and you can even pay to skate on the ramps here if you are interested.
Underwood Family Farms

For a family-friendly outing, Underwood Family Farms offers a hands-on agricultural experience with fresh produce, seasonal festivals, and fun activities for all ages. Visitors can pick their own fruits and vegetables, feed farm animals, and enjoy hayrides around the scenic farm. Green Acres Market

Green Acres Market is a fantastic lunch spot specializing in BBQ. You can smell the meats as soon as you exit your car and the line of people waiting to order is an indication of how good this restaurant is.
